We provide support for the operation of systems in Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha and the group companies, and are working each day to ensure the stable operation of these systems. Our internal service desk performs a wide range of tasks such as responding to inquiries, providing assistance when installing hardware equipment, and providing support for the operation of business applications. They also implement regular updates and maintenance for the stable operation of systems.

Customer service operations

The service desk has a specialized team that responds to inquiries from Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha and both Japanese and overseas group companies, and rapidly resolves dozens of inquiries each day over the phone and via email. They receive a variety of inquiries ranging from basic IT-related questions to how to operate applications and troubleshooting.
Several staff members are also stationed at the Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha Head Office, where they provide face-to-face support for installing hardware such as computers and smartphones as well as help troubleshoot problems. They support the smooth business operations of users who use IT equipment.
When new services are implemented to promote digital transformation at Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, members who work in customer service operations are relied upon for their skills in accurately understanding the needs of users, skills which they have developed through their experience in support. These members sometimes participate in projects from the system selection and review stage, and cooperate with Head Office teams to ensure the project is successful.

Systems management operations maintain the integrity of the system and are responsible for the task of maximizing the system’s performance. They provide the best solutions to investigation requests received from the service desk while cooperating with other departments to implement regular system maintenance and produce improved functions and such for applications developed at “K”Line Business Systems.
Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha Head Office operates numerous systems developed by “K”Line Business Systems, and we are prepared to provide all manner of support to ensure the stable operation of these systems. “K”Line Business Systems cooperates with and provides support to IT support desks located in the USA and Europe for systems deployed overseas, and covers the support mainly during Asian business hours.
We also provide support for the operation of systems, sell equipment and software, and manage the operation of network services and cloud services for group companies. We cooperate with the Development Department to support operations when receiving requests to develop systems.
