Business application development
The process for business application development at “K”Line Business Systems begins with the Planning Department creating a requirements definition for the project, then depending on the scale and characteristics of the project, we respond with a single person or a team of several people with diverse skills, then finally we bring together the best resources and expert knowledge to develop high-quality applications.
The scope of the work includes application design, manufacturing (programming), unit testing (checking code), and an integration test to verify that the application runs as designed. Normally, we proceed with development based on the requirements definition but if it is not clear what the user wants, we actively communicate with the user to eliminate any problematic points and then focus our efforts on providing a solution that meets the user’s expectations.
Example of new system development
In 2019, we developed Stowage Order Utmost Planning (SOUP), an application that optimizes the cargo being loaded onto ships.
The application is designed to efficiently load cargo of various sizes such as passenger vehicles and trucks to match the specification of the ship the cargo will be loaded onto, and uses CAD software to provide a visual understanding of how the cargo should be loaded.
